Terms of use.

What using this site and these services commits either side to. Updated August 20, 2026. Personal information is covered separately in the privacy policy.

01

Who these terms bind

clevrstart is a registered business name of a sole proprietorship registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec and operated by Luke Sidney from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The same business is also registered under the French name départ futé. These terms govern your use of www.clevrstart.com and the material published on it. Using the site means you accept them.

02

What we do

We build custom software and agentic systems for business operations, and we operate our own software products. Most work is contract work: we evaluate each project for deliverability and complexity, then quote it. Consultants engage us as a subcontractor and may resell the result under their own brand, with one supplier on the invoice — theirs.

Terms
03

The site is not an offer

Nothing published here is a binding offer, a fixed price, or a commitment to take on work. Booking a call creates no obligation on either side. A contract exists only when we issue a written quote and you accept it in writing.

Terms
04

The quote is the contract

Scope, rate, schedule, payment terms, ownership of the delivered work, confidentiality, and the validity period of the price are stated in that quote. Where anything on this site differs from an accepted quote, the quote governs for that engagement. Prices are quoted after evaluation; rates and payment terms appear in the quote, not on this page.

Terms
05

Acceptable use of this site

Read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it freely. Do not attempt to breach or overload it, do not scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, and do not present its material as your own or use it to train a commercial model without written permission.

Terms
06

Ownership

The text, design, code, and marks on this site — including the names clevrstart and départ futé — belong to us. Ownership of software we deliver to a client is whatever that client’s quote says it is; it is settled there, per engagement, and never by this page.

07

The knowledge base

The articles published under /info are written to be accurate and are offered for information only. They are not legal, financial, accounting, or professional advice, they may age, and acting on them is your decision. Some pages are drafted with the assistance of software and reviewed before publication.

Terms
08

Third-party links and tools

Booking runs through our scheduling application, and some pages link to other sites and platforms. Those services have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for what they do. How we handle what you send us is set out in our privacy policy.

Terms
09

No warranty on the site

The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Warranties on software we deliver under contract are stated in that contract.

Terms
10

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law permits, our liability arising from this site or from an engagement is limited to the amount you paid us for the engagement concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Quebec law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies to you.

Terms
11

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws in force in Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute is brought before the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
