A Quebec invoice template with GST and QST, worked out for you.

An invoice shows your name, the date and the total and, depending on the amount, the taxes, your GST and QST numbers and the client’s name. The generator puts each one in place and works out GST (5%) and QST (9.975%).

Questions5 answered

Common questions

Short answers.

01Do I add GST and QST?
Only if you are registered for the GST and the QST. Registration becomes mandatory when your taxable sales pass $30,000 in one calendar quarter or over the four calendar quarters before it. Below that, you are a small supplier: switch off “I charge taxes” and the document comes out without taxes.
02Can I add taxes without being registered?
No. Only a registered business can collect GST and QST, and its numbers must be on the invoice from $100.
03Can I make it in French?
Yes. Pick the document’s language in the generator: the PDF’s headings, dates and amounts switch to French.
04What number do I give my invoice?
A unique number, in order: F-2026-001, then F-2026-002. The generator suggests the first one; change it to follow your own series.
05Is the generator really free?
Yes. No account, no email to hand over. What you type stays in your browser until you download; the PDF is then drawn on our server and sent back to you. We do not keep your documents.
