Lawn care price1 / 6

How big is the lawn?

Pick the closest. Most suburban lots are the second one.

How this is calculated

  1. Each package has a rate per 1,000 sq ft (mow $12; edge $4; blow $3; fertilize $15). The rate is multiplied by the lawn size.
  2. The road is charged at the rate you want to earn. A 30 % cushion for gas, equipment and slow days goes on top of the whole visit.
  3. If the result is under $45, the minimum wins. Every price is rounded up to the whole dollar.
  4. Per month is per visit × 52 ÷ 12 for weekly and 26 ÷ 12 for every two weeks. Per season is 26 weeks.
  5. The sizes are typical, not a survey. Measure the lawn before you sign a season.

Questions

01How do I price lawn care?

Start from your time: the visit, the road, and the rate you want to earn. Add a cushion for gas, equipment and slow days, then check the result against your minimum charge. This calculator does that with five taps.

02What should a lawn care price list include?

One line per package with a price per visit, a minimum charge, and the frequency the price assumes. Print this sheet as a starting point.

03Is this a lawn care estimate calculator?

Yes. It gives an estimate from your inputs. It does not know local demand or what your competitors charge, so treat the result as your floor, not your ceiling.

04Why is the price per visit the same for weekly and biweekly?

Because the work per visit is the same. The difference shows in the monthly and seasonal totals. Many businesses add a surcharge for biweekly lawns because they grow longer; add it to your rates if you do.

05Can I use this in metric?

The French version of this page works in square metres and Canadian dollars.
